Puggles Swim Course – One Single Enrolment
Become a Puggles accredited Skipper!
Upon completing the course, you will have the skills to confidently include deaf and hard of hearing children in your mainstream swimming classes!
The Puggles Swim Course upskills accredited swimming teachers, and helps them to stand out with the qualifications to provide a swim program for deaf and hard of hearing children. Through the course, you’ll learn how to use inclusive communication in your classes, and about the needs of managing a swim program for deaf and hard of hearing children. At the end of the course, you’ll become an accredited instructor, called a Skipper. As a Skipper, you’ll also be part of creating a more inclusive culture, where you’ll be helping more kids to stay safe in the water.
Our Skippers are discovering that it’s not just deaf and hard of hearing children that benefit from the skills gained through the Puggles Swim Course, but all children find it helpful because pools can be a difficult environment for many people to speak and hear. Through the Puggles Swim Course, you can help yourself stand out from the crowd to employers and parents seeking instructors with a true passion for supporting children to become water safe.
The Puggles Swim Course is an interactive course, featuring a range of different learning formats, including videos, making the material easy to navigate and learn. This allows our students to absorb all the necessary information and learn important techniques easily. What’s more, it takes less than half a day to complete the Puggles Swim Course and become an accredited Puggles Skipper!
In addition to helping change the lives of deaf and hard of hearing children, you also get access to lots of resources to help you promote your great new skills to the local community.
