Cyber Safety Program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students

Supported by the Act Now. Stay Secure. Campaign

Deaf Children Australia is proud to be delivering a new cyber safety program for deaf and hard of hearing young people, supported by the Australian Government’s Act Now. Stay Secure. campaign.

In early 2026, our team will be visiting selected schools to run free, in-person workshops for students aged 12–18 who use Auslan as their preferred way to communicate.

These workshops will teach students how to:

The sessions will be interactive, practical and Auslan-accessible — helping students feel more confident navigating the online world safely.

We're now seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from schools

If your school supports deaf or hard of hearing students in the eligible age group, we’d love to hear from you.

We’ll be visiting schools in the following locations:

Queensland

South Australia

Tasmania
Victoria

If you are interested in a Cyber Safety workshop to support deaf and hard of hearing students who use Auslan at your school, please submit your expression of interest below and we will be in contact. Please note that these workshops will be delivered in Auslan only
