Being a deaf person on a sport team could help me connect with others and be able to express myself. This leotard and equipment represent my passion for gymnastics, the artwork shows my journey of determination, success and belonging. The Shining is colourful, this represents and shows how I feel when I’m doing rhythmic gymnastics.

The Rhythmic gymnastics shows to be very close to my heart, people in the sport made me feel supported, and I got lots of connections and good friendship from it. I feel within me doing the sport I can be successful, every time I do gymnastics in a class it makes me feel connected to other people I can feel, I feel I’m really energised and will do anything to learn gymnastics, more movement gives me more determination. My heart really feels stronger to never give up myself in my eye always trying to help improve myself, love to be giving it my all. The shining shows how within myself I’m excited and ready for learn and let success for deaf person in a sport like this.

What type of art have you submitted and why?

I’m using paint, pen, and clear crystal gems, I’m using it because I have a shine of the light uniform as belonging of a team. This drawing of a blue uniform has hand of a deaf person in a gymnast team. I wanted light and colourful items in this drawing showing this what I was feel too.
