Welcome to DCA’s Resources!

DCA’s resources are here for anyone wanting to learn more about deafness, inclusion, communication and supporting deaf and hard of hearing children and young people.

Whether you are a parent, carer, educator, community member or organisation, this space brings together practical information, helpful tools and lived experience to support greater understanding and connection.

These resources are designed to help our community feel more informed, confident and included.

A large part of our resources has been developed through Flying Colours, a Deaf Children Australia project funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services through the Information, Linkages and Capacity Building program. www.dss.gov.au

If you are supporting a child at home, teaching in the classroom, running a local club, or simply wanting to learn more, you will find resources and information to help you make a positive difference.

You will find published research, stories from parents with lived experience, practical resources and easy-to-read information about deafness, communication, inclusion and community support.

NB: You can print any of the pages in the Flying Colours online resource – just go to your browers ‘file’ options and hit ‘print’ and print as a PDF.
