Noel Henderson

Property and Heritage Manager
As a post lingual deaf person Noel understands what it is like to hear and then to be deaf. His lived experience provides an insightful contribution as the Board guides the organisation in delivering to the agreed strategy. With 30 years’ experience in senior management roles in both the corporate (Oracle, Ericsson, GE) and not-for-profit sectors, Noel brings a well-honed and proven skill set to the team having held lead positions in finance, business transformation and e-commerce. Previously as GM for Development and Fundraising and more recently in his capacity as GM Property at DCA, Noel has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities experienced by families with a DHH child. Strategically driven, he brings a laser focus to governance – providing clear direction and guidance to the DCA team. Previously Chair of DCA Noel has also served on the boards of the Deafness Foundation, Surf Life Saving and the Surf Boat Rowers League.

Noel currently manages all of Deaf Children Australia’s sites, buildings, facilities, assets, tenant management, and lease arrangements – supporting DCA’s operations. Prior to joining DCA, Noel worked for some of the largest Information Technology companies in the world with new and emerging technologies.

“I have been fortunate to follow my passion to work full time in the Deaf sector,” Noel said. “I am a post-lingual deaf person and I see technology as the great equaliser for deaf people.”
