Fun Formal – where deaf and hard of hearing students celebrate and connect!

Get ready for an unforgettable night created especially for deaf and hard of hearing students in Years 10 to 12.

Hosted by Deaf Children Australia, the Fun Formal is an opportunity for students from across Australia to dress up, celebrate and connect with friends in a fun, inclusive and fully supervised environment.

Eligibility: Students currently in Years 10 to 12
Tickets: $60 for Early Bird (Price Increase to 75$ on the 13th of September)

Dress code

Dress to impress, comfortably.

This is your chance to dress up and celebrate with friends at The Fun Formal.

Whether you choose a glamorous gown, cocktail dress, stylish jumpsuit, sharp suit or smart casual outfit, wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable.

The evening will be filled with activities, games, food, photos and plenty of opportunities to connect with friends, so choose an outfit that allows you to move around and enjoy everything on offer.

Footwear

Runners are absolutely welcome.

Heels, flats, boots and dress shoes are also great options. We recommend choosing footwear that will keep you comfortable while moving around and taking part in activities throughout the night.

Most importantly, come as your authentic self, have fun, make memories and enjoy an unforgettable evening with friends and the Deaf community.

Supervision and safety

All students will be fully supervised by Deaf Children Australia Community Engagement staff, venue staff and teachers. All supervising staff hold a valid Working with Children Check.

This is an alcohol, smoking and drug-free event.

Students may also submit school photos to be included in the event’s student photo reel by emailing events@deafchildren.org.au.
