Container Deposit Scheme around Australia – why your donations matter?
Deaf Children Australia is registered with the following recycling programs around Australia and are registering with all the other states and locations.
Every container you return and donate helps Deaf Children Australia support and empower more deaf and hard of hearing children and their families. Your contributions, no matter how small, add up to create big changes.
It’s a great opportunity to get kids, or grandkids involved. Turn recycling into a fun and educational activity that teaches them about recycling whilst helping support DCA.
Together, you can make a significant impact and inspire the next generation of Philanthropists.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Collect: Gather eligible drink containers such as cans, bottles, and cartons.
- Return: Take them to your nearest CDS collection point.
- Donate: When prompted, nominate Deaf Children Australia as your chosen charity.

How to donate your refund to DCA:
Set your active payout in the Return and Earn app to ‘donate’ and select Deaf Children Australia.
Scan your app barcode at the return point, deposit your containers and 100 per cent of your refund will be donated to DCA.

How to donate your refund:
All refund points have options to donate to community groups and organisations on the spot, and they often rotate these partners. To donate your refunds to Deaf Children Australia you can also use your Zone Operator app.

You can choose to support Deaf Children Australia via the Recycle Rewards app.
You can browse Donation Partners quickly and easily on the Recycle Rewards app or use the Donation Partner search tool.

Please note: DCA is no longer partnering with Recykle It for clothing collections.
If you receive a blue collection bag in your letterbox, it has not been distributed on behalf of Deaf Children Australia.
