Queensland Day Camp – Strengthening Bonds

DCA’s family networks in Queensland are large, strong and vibrant! These networks exist not only because of DCA’s long term support of POD groups, its state-wide Parent to Parent and Life Stories Programs and information and referral services, but also through great events like their Family Day Camp in Petrie on 11 November.

There were high ropes, low ropes, firemen (and women), Old MacDonald’s Farm, yard games, craft stations, swimming, catching up, making friends, and a camp fire! Everyone was EXHAUSTED after so many activities but everyone went home smiling.

DCA was able to provide this great day-long event through the generous support of the Kedron-Wavell RSL Community Grants Scheme and was supported by the Fredrick Marsden Youth Activity Centre. It was all captured by Mo Valentine – see the video.
