Description
Ready Set Drive is an interactive workshop for deaf and hard of hearing people at the start of their driving journey. No experience is required, we've got you!
Having a license greatly improves independence for all young people and promotes more social, recreational, educational and employment opportunities.
This is why we have created:
Ready: Road rules, road safety and awareness
Set: Vehicle dynamics, basic car maintenance and tyre changing
Drive: Driver simulation and practice learner test
This first component will be classroom based, and will aim at getting you on your Ls plates and on the road (with training wheels)!
In this one-day workshop, you'll learn about:
-
- road rules
- road safety
- awareness on our roads
- how to open up the hood of a vehicle to go through basic maintenance
- how to change a tyre
- vehicle dynamics
- utilising a simulator to experience the dangers of vehicles in a safe environment
- practice Learner test to get you ready for the big day!
The qualified instructors from CRUDE Ultimate Driving Education will conduct the workshop. Auslan interpreters will be present throughout the workshop.
