What is Youth Online??

Youth On Line is a new and exciting chat space for young deaf people aged 12 to 20.

It is a secure online chat room where you can meet and chat with other young deaf people from all around Australia.

You will have the opportunity to chat about important issues that affect you as a young deaf person living in Australia.

The chat will be open at specified times, and you can log onto a chat topic that suits you.

There will be a calendar of chat topics so you can always make sure you don’t miss one that interests you. If you feel that you are struggling with a personal issue, there is also an option to receive some private online or face to face counselling by a qualified professional.

If you are deaf or hard of hearing aged 12 to 20 and want to join Youth Online, you need to register with the DCA website, then email web@deafchildren.org.au to become a Youth Online member. 

Youth Online Rules

• Treat everyone with respect.
• Do not post your or anyone else’s private info (e.g. phone number, address etc)
• No rude posts or bullying allowed.
• This space is for young deaf and hard of hearing people between 12 and 20 years old.
