Your Stories

In this section, you can express and share your experience with childhood deafness through a range of mediums such as written story, poetry, or artwork.

Due to the limited amount of available space, we ask contributors that:

  • Contributions are of your (or your child's) original work and do not violate the copyright regulations;
  • Contributions focus on experiences, feelings and issues related to the specific theme of childhood deafness.
  • Written submission should not exceed a 500 word limit. The size of pictures must be under 128KB. Please limit the number of pictures to 5 for each submission. You can read how to compress pictures here (for Windows users) or here (for Mac users). Currently we are not accepting video clips or audio tracks.
  • You have read Deaf Children Australia website Terms of Use.

You can submit your contribution by:

  1. emailing your contribution to web@deafchildren.org.au
