Gabby Grasso – Senior Case Manager

Gabby Grasso – Senior Case ManagerGabby has worked in this role since July 2003. Her role includes supporting deaf and hard of hearing children and their families to identify and achieve goals which are important to them, to advocate on behalf of the child and family and assist them in accessing relevant services.

 

 

 

 

 

Eleni Kokkinakis – Accounts Officer

Eleni Kokkinakis – Accounts OfficerEleni joined Deaf Children Australia back in August 1998, so has been here for over 10 years. Eleni is responsible for processing all accounts payable and receivable and payroll. Her role also provides assistance to the accountant including reconciliations.

 

 

 

Debra Swann – Star Mentor & Community Development Coordinator

Debra Swann – Star Mentor & Community Development CoordinatorDebra has been with Deaf Children Australia since December 1997. Her current role involves support and information to families and the community and facilitates workshops/presentations and information sessions aimed at reducing the barriers for deaf and hard of hearing children and raising the awareness in the general community.

 

 

 

 

David Hughes – Cleaner

David Hughes - CleanerDavid is our full time cleaner. He is responsible for the upkeep of the interior of our building and helps with the set up and clean up of meetings and other small maintenance tasks. David was a student at VSDC and used to be a boarder right here in our building so he knows it very well.

 

 

 

Annette Fogarty – Reception and Admin support

Annette Fogarty – Reception and Admin supportAnnette commenced with Deaf Children Australia in August 2007. Annette is the friendly face of DCA as our receptionist. Annette assists with various administration tasks including looking after the shop purchases and also provides support to the Accounting team and staff throughout the organisation.

 

 

 

 

Geoff Manton – National Manager, Employment Services

Geoff has been working within the generalist disability employment industry since 1994 and has been managing our top performing Deaf Employment services since 1998.

In 2008 Geoff became the State Manager of the Western Australian Deaf Society drawing on his experience and expertise from managing Deaf Children Australia's Children and Family Services for three years.

Geoff is committed to equality and community access for Deaf and hard of hearing people and their families and was instrumental in the development of funding for Auslan interpreting within the workplace.

Brett Casey – National Manager, Community Development

Brett has been with Deaf Services Queensland since 2004. Prior to this, Brett spent a considerable part of his working life in the deaf field, in both advocacy and service organisations.

He has served as Manager and Board Member of the Australian Association of the Deaf and is a member of the World Federation of the Deaf Human Rights Expert Group.    Read more »
