Brett has been with Deaf Services Queensland since 2004. Prior to this, Brett spent a considerable part of his working life in the deaf field, in both advocacy and service organisations.

He has served as Manager and Board Member of the Australian Association of the Deaf and is a member of the World Federation of the Deaf Human Rights Expert Group.

Brett’s academic achievements include a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts. Brett’s interests lies in International, Human Rights and Discrimination law. He has published a number of papers and articles on Deaf topics in academic journals.
