Auslan Coffee Shop Program (National Program)

Auslan Coffee Shop Program Flyer

Recent News...

The Auslan Coffee Shop will not be continuing beyond Term two 2009.  The special purpose grant which Deaf Children Australia received a few years ago for this program has recently run out.  Until we are able to find supplementary funding to support this program we cannot continue the facilitated sessions which have been running thus far.

Deaf Children Australia understands that this program supported parents in a way which suited them.  Therefore, we are still keen to support parents as best we can.  In lieu of a number of coffee shop sessions being run in a variety of locations we will be running a coffee shop program at St. Kilda Road in the Trade Block Cafe which is run by hospitality students at the Victorian College for the Deaf.  Great atmosphere, great coffee and yummy treats, served by deaf students.  Another way to practice your Auslan!

Details... Every Tuesday 10.00 - 11.00am Trade Block Cafe, 597 St. Kilda Road (enter from High Street)

If you live in Brisbane, you can join the Auslan Club held at Deaf Services Queensland. (915 Ipswich Road, Moorooka).
